Winning a grant

ATMU offers applicants and students the opportunity to study on a government grant. High DTM scores, excellent academic performance and active participation in social activities can qualify students for grant-funded study.

Types of grants

• Government grant — the main type of grant awarded at admission based on State Testing Centre (DTM) results.
• Presidential scholarship — for students who achieve the highest results during the academic year.
• Named and sponsored scholarships — additional scholarships awarded by organisations for achievements in science, sport and creative activities.
• Transfer from paid to grant-funded study — moving fee-paying students to grant places based on end-of-semester rankings.

Grant eligibility requirements

• High DTM or entrance examination scores at admission.
• A high grade point average (GPA) at the end of the semester.
• Active participation in subject olympiads, scientific and creative competitions.
• No disciplinary penalties or outstanding academic requirements.

Procedure for transferring from paid to grant-funded study

• A faculty student ranking is compiled at the end of each semester.
• Vacant grant places are offered to the highest-ranking fee-paying students.
• The student applies through the dean's office and transfers to grant-funded status upon approval.
• The process is tracked automatically in HEMIS and carried out transparently.
